Our Daily Schedule

At Beacon of Hope Academy, we understand the importance of flexibility and personalized learning experiences.  As a microschool, we aim to create a schedule that best meets the needs of our students while providing a well-rounded education. Here is  an example of a typical day at Beacon of Hope Academy:

8:30 AM- 9:00 AM

Our day begins with a morning gathering where students and staff come together for prayer, worship, and a bible study. This sets a positive tone for the day and allows everyone to feel connected and ready to learn.

9:00 AM - 10:00 AM

During this time, students engage in core academic subjects such as Bible, English Language Arts and Spelling/Handwriting. Our curriculum is tailored to the individual needs and abilities of each student, ensuring they are challenged and supported.

10:00 AM -10:15 AM

Students have a short break to recharge, enjoy a healthy snack, and socialize with their peers. We believe in the importance of play and social interactions in building relationships and fostering holistic development.

10:15 AM - 11:15 AM

This block provides various therapeutic interventions that address the individual needs of our students. It may include occupational therapy, speech-language therapy, or behavioral therapy. Therapeutic interventions will be delivered via telehealth and in person.

11:15 AM - 12:00 PM

Students continue their academic focus, covering subjects such as Social Math, History, and Science. We utilize various instructional methods and resources to make learning engaging and meaningful.

12:00 PM - 1:00 PM

Students gather for a nutritious and delicious lunch in a welcoming and family-like atmosphere. Afterward, they have time for outdoor play and recreation, allowing them to release energy and foster socialization.

1:00 PM - 2:00 PM

During this time, students participate in special programs and enrichment activities that enhance their learning experience. This may include music therapy, art classes, physical education, or other programs that promote creativity, self-expression, and social-emotional growth. These activities help students discover their talents and interests while also building confidence and self-esteem.

2:00 PM - 3:00 PM

As the day winds down, students have time for reflection, review of the day's lessons, and any necessary organizational tasks. This time also allows for check-ins on progress and provides an opportunity for students to express any concerns or ask questions.
